Regarding the Glock 19 as a carry gun, in particular vs. the SIG, this is my opinion: Have the SIG365 XL, which is now my normal carry gun. I previously daily carried my Glock 19. The Glock is a better gun, the Sig is a better carry gun. If I were in a SHTF situation it’s Glock, no question.
The standard 365 gives up too much with the tiny grip length for me. And I have the X model and regret not, but now plan on, buying the XL upper. The biggest difference between it and a 19 is grip angle and the width, it's significantly thinner. 15 round mags look like an afterthought on the Sigs but they work.In my opinion, the X shoots like the standard 365. The recoil to me was noticeably more snappy. The XL isn't exactly a Glock 19, but its the smallest gun I've ever shot that handles and shoots more like a full size than a sub compact. If you use Shield Arms' S15 magazines in the G48/43X, you wind up with a G19 or G26 that has signed up with Marie Osmond.The Glock 43X has a barrel length of 3.41 inches and the P365 XL has a barrel length of 3.7 inches total.
